Hours: 39 per week:
Mon to Thurs 6.30 am to 3.30 pm; Friday 6.30 am to 11.30 am
Some weekend work

We are currently looking to recruit a Despatch Cell Leader to join us at our Head Office site. Reporting to the Production Manager the successful candidate will be required to lead a small team responsible for the Despatch function ensuring all aspects of the operation run smoothly to meet quality standards and deadlines.

Key Duties Include
• Daily delivery list – coordination of Despatch ops and ensuring correct division of labour
• Update where changes occur and ensure list is current
• Ensure that Despatch ops package and load finished goods to correct specification
• Maintain good standards on housekeeping and H&S standards
• Keep consumable stocks in order
• Liaise with production supervision on schedule changes
• Locate work for Night Shift handover
• Carry out monthly finished goods audit
• Organising shift rotas
• Managing hire vehicles – on / off hire
• Ordering critical spares
• 5S audits (Despatch & Vans)
• Despatch op approvals/jigsaws.

The Person – Key Requirements
• Previous experience in similar role – warehousing/transport
• Good interpersonal and communication skills – confident communicator in a variety of situations
• Previous line management/supervisory experience and able to lead a small team including one to ones and team meetings/briefings
• Able to work within and lead team in line with Health and Safety / Quality Management / Environmental standards and procedures
• Good planning, organising and problem solving skills
• Resilient with a flexible approach towards hours and workload
• Physical fitness is required as this is a physically demanding role with manual handling and heavy lifting involved
• Enthusiastic and results driven
• Basic computer skills

Previous experience of worktop manufacture and/or working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage but is not essential as all training will be provided.
