Covid-19 Response – Important Service Update – 26th March 2020

Important Service Update – 26th March 2020

Due to the ongoing health crisis, and in the interests of our customers and employees, we have already suspended all non-essential worktop installations. This approach is essential to limit the spread of Covid 19, and is in-line with the latest UK Government recommendations regarding Visits to Customers homes.

Orders for customers who are missing essential utilities, such as cooking facilities & running water will still proceed as planned within the current government guidelines for a limited period. We are currently working with our retailers to identify those customers for whom completion is an urgent requirement.

For those with existing orders scheduled over the coming weeks, we appreciate your patience during this crisis, and look forward to delivering our usual high quality service at a time when this can be done in a safe and responsible manner.

From Friday 3rd April, Sheridan will enter a temporary close-down period, resulting in a complete cessation of operations until further notice.

Covid 19 Response – 20th March 2020

The UK is currently responding to the escalating global Covid-19 pandemic, which poses significant risks to the health, well-being, and daily lives of millions of people.

At Sheridan, we are taking every reasonable precaution to prevent the spread of this contagion, and ensure that our operations can largely continue without major disruption.

This crisis brings with it a number of operational considerations:-

  • Identification and containment of infection risks internally to prevent spreading.
  • Limitation of new hires to essential staff only.
  • Expected increase in both precautionary and necessary sick-leave and self-isolation.
  • Limiting of external visits where possible to avoid both internal and external transmission.
  • Decline in customer confidence & delaying of projects.
  • Social distancing rules limiting external sales operations.

To respond to these threats, we are deploying additional resources across the business which will allow us to continue as efficiently, and safely as possible. We are issuing daily communications to ensure our approach is cohesive and in-line with government recommendations. We are also regularly communicating with our suppliers and installation teams to ensure we are able to respond in a timely manner to any threats to our supply chain.
